MCFAM - Minnesota Center for Financial and Actuarial Mathematics

MCFAM is the Minnesota Center for Financial Mathematics and is part of the University of Minnesota’s School of Mathematics.  MCFAM houses both the undergraduate actuarial and graduate financial mathematics programs. These programs provide students an interdisciplinary framework for building a strong academic foundation while also gaining real world experience with industry over the course of their education.

There are a lot of opportunities to learn beyond the coursework.  For instance I participated in the Rotman International Trading Competition (RITIC) one of our professors, Dr. Carlos Tolmasky, also shared his rich trading experience with us from his years at Cargill.
