The School of Mathematics brings together exceptional students and faculty from around the world. There are about 5,500 international students and scholars from over 140 countries studying at the Univeristy of Minnesota, and the Mathematics graduate program consitently ranks among the best in the world. 

Are You An International Student?

You are considered an international applicant if you are not a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, or if you need a visa to study in the U.S.

Language Requirements

International students who are non-native English speakers will need to demonstrate a command of the English language.
