How are admissions decided?
Decisions regarding admission and financial aid are made on a competitive basis among the applicants to our programs. We limit our admissions based upon our resources to support students financially through assistantships.
Note: There is no way we can accurately assess your chances of acceptance without seeing your completed application
When will decisions be made?
We ordinarily admit new students for Fall semester only. You can expect a decision by March.
Please note that all major US universities are signers of the April 15 resolution. Signers of this resolution agree that no offer should require a response before 15 April, and we therefore encourage our applicants to wait until at least 15 March before making decisions.
All applicants should receive notification of a final decision by 25 June, but, if you have not received an offer of admission by 20 April, then please be aware that it is very unlikely that we will be able to make one.
How will I be notified about decisions?
A decision for admission notice will be emailed to you once your application is carefully reviewed by the department's admission committee and your transcripts and any credentials (test reports, diploma copies, etc.) are authenticated by Graduate School officials.
Please feel free to write to us at any time if you have questions, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
