Seminars for the week of March 1, 2010

Colloquium

Thursday, 3:30, in VinH 16

Professor Sug Woo Shin
of University of Chicago
will speak on
"Cohomology of Shimura varieties and the Langlands philosophy"

I will review results and some open questions on the cohomology of Shimura varieties in the context of the Langlands philosophy, which is that the L-functions arising from Shimura varieties should be identified with (alternating products of) automorphic L-functions.
