Professor Jayce Getz
of IAS, Princeton University
will speak on
"The twisted relative trace formula"

The twisted trace formula, as developed by Langlands, Arthur, Shelsted, Kottwitz, et. al., is a tool for relating automorphic forms on different groups. Similarly, the twisted relative trace formula is a tool for relating periods of automorphic forms on different groups. We will discuss the general structure of these tools and indicate some applications of relative trace identities to the geometry of locally symmetric spaces.
