will speak on
"From principal eigenfunctions to principal Floquet bundles"
The principal eigenvalue (a unique eigenvalue with a positive eigenfunction) of an elliptic operator is a well known and widely used concept. Its existence and basic properties can usually be derived fromthe Krein-Rutman theorem. After recalling these properties briefly, we introduce related concepts, the principal Floquet bundle and exponential separation, for parabolic equations with time-dependent coefficients. We shall discuss recent developments in this area and mention some applications.
