How best to reach me

Office Hours

Wednesday, 10-11

Research Interests

Geometry, particularly enumerative algebraic geometry, moduli spaces &c.
I am also interested in visualization, the history of mathematics and physics, and the interaction between mathematics and art. If you want to collaborate on something cool, send me an email. Chances are I'm interested.

My adviser is Prof. Ciocan-Fontanine.

Teaching

CSE calc 4
An example of a lab notebook is here: example.
Solutions to past quizzes are here: solutions.

An Insect

Rather, a picture thereof.

Seminar

There is a seminar on computation in mathematics, and you should attend it. We meet Mondays 10-12 (at most) in VinH 203a.

Documents and amusements

Slides for my talk Fock's article on the SO(4) symmetry of the hydrogen atom, Mathematical Physics Seminar.
Slides for my closely related follow-up talk, Kepler: 400 years later. References to be added soonish.
More to come when I can be bothered to get my papers in order…

An applet, just to see if it works. Something more interesting might appear in the bright and shining future.

Some favourite quotes.

Generically, five points in a plane determine a unique conic, and nine points determine a unique cubic.
