Consider a 4-manifold M admitting symplectic structures. Assume that for some symplectic form w the submanifold V is symplectic.   Consider a further symplectic structure w'.  Under what conditions on w' does it admit a symplectic submanifold "related" to V?  I will described what possibilities one might consider for the term "related" and the results that we have obtained in this direction.  (joint with Tian-Jun Li and Weiwei Wu)
