Pine Settings

Pine is one of several mail readers available in Fedora Linux.

There are 147 variables in the Pine 4.6 configuration file. They can be set from the "Setup" screen of Pine, or by editing the .pinerc file in your home directory.

Foreground and Background Colors

Towards the bottom of the .pinerc are the color settings.
# Choose: black, blue, green, cyan, red, magenta, yellow, or white.
normal-foreground-color=black
normal-background-color=white

Terminal Colors

If your white doesn't look bright enough, try checking your terminal's color settings. With Gnome Terminal the go to the ">Edit >Current Profile" menu entry. A new window should open, then select the colors tab.

Select a preferred color scheme.
