ABSTRACT
This thesis is devoted to study of the effects on the steady state flow within
a blood pump of bumps on the rims of rotating parts of the pump. A mathematical
model was developed under the assumption that the flow is 2-D laminar.
We discovered which types of bumps are "acceptable" and which types are not,
using the standard technique of perturbation of the boundary.
