Modern Finance: Capital Structures and Risk Management

Abstract:
I will give a high level overview of Modern Finance. I will begin by discussing capital, types of captial and captial structure. Then a brief introduction to CAPM. A little on M&M without taxes and then with taxes. Then onto why M&M with taxes is not born out in practice. This will lead us to a discussion as to why risk management adds value when CAPM suggests that it does not.
